It is the same word used in 2 Peter 3:1 where Peter writes, "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance." So Peter says he wrote two epistles to put his readers into memory of important truths that they already knew.℗ Originally released 1966. Roll back the curtain of memory now and then. So, Peter says, "I think it is suitable to put in you a remembrance of these things. Peter writes in, 2 Peter 1:13, "Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance." Here, the word, remembrance, means, "A reminding a remembrance," according to Strong and Thayer. The word, as used in 2 Peter 1:12, means, "To remind quietly," according to Strong. Paul uses the word twelve times in his epistles, while Peter uses it four times in 2 Peter. The word, remembrance is found twenty-two times in the King James translation of the New Testament. They needed to pray, or sing, "Just remember I'm a human and human's forget!" New on songlist - Song videos Watch the main video or click on one of the thumbnails below to watch additional versions. Why? For at least two reasons: 1)They did not listen to and obey the words given by God through the prophets 2) They needed to be reminded of the truths that they had heard many times before, but had forgotten. Sometimes, when the preacher preaches a sermon on a familiar topic, someone will complain, "I've heard that before, preach on something less familiar." Did you ever stop to consider that Biblical writers might have heard a similar complaint? We can imagine someone reading, or hearing, Paul's epistles, or Jeremiah's prophecies, complaining, "We have read all of that before, prophet, prophesy on a different topic!" The prophets repeated the same topics, often the same, words, over and over. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. The fifth line of the chorus,"Just remember I'm a human and human's forget," is so true, as many of us, including myself, can attest! Peter writes in 2 Peter 1:12: Just remember I'm a human and human's forget Roll back the curtain of memory now and then Our featured song this week is "Remind Me, Dear Lord," by Dottie Rambo, sung here in acapella by Vocal Union. Habitatĭisplays a preference for small, shallow (< 50 cm depth), slowly-flowing tributary streams where aquatic or otherwise submerged vegetation proliferates, although it has also been collected from marginal zones of the upper rio Tietê main channel. Type locality is ‘Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’. As a result, it has been included in the Brazilian list of threatened fish species since 2004. flammeus is now uncommon or even extinct across much of its putative natural range, and in Rio de Janeiro state only a handful of highly-fragmented populations remain at best, with the most recent confirmed record dating from 1992. ![]() Its native rivers flow through one of the most densely-populated and industrialised parts of Brazil, and have suffered greatly from dam construction, water abstraction, pollution, introduced species (including over 40 exotic freshwater fishes in the rio Paraíba do Sul alone), and other forms of anthropogenic degradation. Molecular analysis is required in order to resolve this confusion. (2014) hypothesise that the species has in fact been introduced around the city of São Paulo by aquarists or commercial breeders since it was not recorded in the area prior to 1977, the city is a centre for the ornamental trade, and it appears to be restricted to partially degraded habitats within the metropolitan zone, being absent from nearby, pristine natural areas. flammeus does not occur in the upper Paraíba do Sul, meaning there is a gap of several hundred kilometers between the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo populations.Ĭarvalho et al. Although they share a number of native fish species, H. The headwaters of the Tietê and Paraíba do Sul are located close to each other in São Paulo state, and they may once have been connected with both draining the Serra do Mar mountains. In São Paulo there exist records from the upper rio Tietê, a tributary within the upper rio Paraná system, with populations concentrated in metropolitan areas east and west of São Paulo city, between the municipalities of Suzano and Salesópolis, and around Itapecerica da Serra, respectively. In Rio de Janeiro it is known only from coastal systems including rivers draining into Guanabara Bay, the middle rio Paraíba do Sul, and the rio Guandu. ![]() Restricted to the neighbouring states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in southwestern Brazil, although its current distribution is somewhat uncertain. Hyphessobrycon flammeus MYERS, 1924 Flame Tetra Etymology ![]() When shooting personal projects, it just means it might take a little longer to finish. If you’re a small one or two man crew, you just factor this time in. And if we don’t do it at the point of capture, we have to do it in the computer. We simply need to double check and compensate for these inconsistencies as needed. But they do still add extra time to the shoot itself. Monitors like these help us to get around the issue of inconsistency. ![]() This is why so many people want DSLRs and mirrorless cameras with clean HDMI output, even if they’re not recording externally. Monitors like the recently released Aputure VS5 have built in false colour, RGB parade, and a host of other features to show us what our sensor sees to get consistent exposure from shot to shot. The time and cost to fix the inconsistencies in those in posts adds up very quickly.įor most of us lower budget types, modern technology can help to solve the problem. That’s around 1500-1800 individual clips. Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, for example, have an average shot length of 3-3.4 seconds. Those slight differences are much easier to notice when switching from shot to shot.Īnd while these differences can be corrected in post, when shooting a 90 minute movie, it’s a lot of extra work. Unlike photographers, cinematographers are often shooting the same scene with multiple cameras, multiple lenses, and from multiple different angles. At least, it is when it comes to quality known brands of cinema lenses. While f/4 might meter differently on half a dozen different photography lenses, T4, on the other hand is identical across the board. The T-Stop, on the other hand, is an actual measurement of the light getting through the lens. The sensor sees the actual light transmitted through the lens. It may tell you to shoot 1/125th of a second with one lens, but 1/150th of a second with another, even though the scene, ISO and your aperture haven’t changed. If you’re using the in-camera meter, the sensor will account for these slight differences in light transmission and compensate. These slight differences aren’t often a big deal to many photographers. The differences may not be huge, but placed side by side, they’re often noticeable. Half a dozen different lenses at f/4, even from the same manufacturer, can often yield different exposures at the same settings. Today, though, there are so many different lens coatings and strange designs that light gets lost all over the place. Pick up a few different lenses of the same aperture, and they’d probably be virtually indistinguishable. When glass had little-to-no coatings, and lens design was very simple, there probably wasn’t much light lost. In theory.Īt one time, this was probably an extremely reliable and consistent measurement. This is why a 50mm f/1.4 has a much smaller aperture than a 105mm f/1.4 but still allows (roughly) the same amount of light to hit the sensor. The focal length and aperture relationship allows a certain overall amount of light through the lens. Twice the diameter means four times as much area, so, two stops more light gets in. That same 100mm lens at f/2 has an aperture opening of 50mm. So, a 100mm lens at f/4 has an aperture opening of 25mm. A T-Stop is the actual measurement of light transmitted through the lens. It’s based on the focal length of the lens relative to size of the opening through which light is allowed. We also learn when it is better to use a lens which uses one measurement over the other, and which may be most cost effective.Įssentially, an F-Stop is a mathematical equation. In his latest video, Sareesh talks us through the differences between F-Stops and T-Stops. It’s a little difficult to sum up the difference in a sentence or two, but Sareesh Sudhakaran from Wolfcrow is here to help. What does it mean? Aren’t they both basically the same thing? Why do two seemingly identical lenses such as the two Samyang 20mm lenses above have different maximum F and T values? What’s the difference? The familiar F-Stops are gone, replaced by T-Stops. ![]() ![]() As more photographer start to delve into the world of video, though, they’ve started looking at cinema lenses. F-Stops are a familiar term when it comes to photography. ![]() Welcome to ! Our site allows every visitor to download software for Windows. We hope you are all enjoying the new Garden Feature in Pet Society on Facebook! ![]() To top it all off, it gives me great pleasure to say that ‘A House Divided’ brings The Walking Dead closer than ever to technical perfection. There’s an underlying confidence that strengthens the game, as if the creators understand that now we’re invested in the new cast and aren’t sure what’s going to happen next, there’s no reason not to spend every gameplay moment on character interaction or moving that mysterious plot forward. This works to the benefit of the experience–Episode 2 feels fast and fluid, and without an undue amount of downtime handed to the player, the pacing is rock-solid. More so, the game jumps from conversation to combat and back again, with punctuated moments of full character control in-between. These sizable exploratory sections are (almost) completely absent here. I’m reminded of Season 1’s first couple episodes–how big chunks of gameplay involved walking around as Lee, talking to several different people and pursuing every dialogue option while collecting items for esoteric uses. Primarily, these come through the way Telltale has "purified" The Walking Dead’s moment-to-moment action. ![]() But even that assumption betrayed me–there are stark personality differences to offset the surface similarities, and by the episode’s end, my hatred for Carver was perhaps even greater than my disdain for the Governor. As a viewer of the AMC television series, it was very easy for me to draw parallels between the original series’ Governor and Telltale’s new, positively sinister villain, William Carver. My expectations were challenged at every turn. Episode 2 steps into that mid-season intensity with confidence, taking advantage of unpredictability to wield a sharp narrative knife. In a season’s early throes, we know not to expect an abundance of character deaths and story shake-ups even if there are, it’s unlikely they’ll emotionally rattle us in the same way as later twists, which have the advantage of deeper characters and a longer journey to up-heave. We’re reaching a point in this season where Clementine (and the player) is starting to grow attached to certain members of the cast, and any Walking Dead aficionado knows what tends to happen next. And there are plenty of surprises to be had. To say much about where ‘A House Divided’s story takes Clementine and her new group, as always, risks ruining narrative that hinges its emotional impact on surprise. There’s even time left for some new faces, including a positively gut-wrenching antagonist that adds much-needed focus to this season’s story and where it might end up. At over two hours’ runtime, there’s ample screen time for moments with each of Episode 1’s characters–moments that, crucially, contribute to meaningful character development and don’t feel rushed. Gameplay fat has been trimmed to leave a series of intense dialogue choices and exciting combat scenarios. But in ‘A House Divided,’ The Walking Dead is firing on all the cylinders that make truly memorable experiences. ![]() Our first chance to play as Clementine, in January’s ‘All That Remains,’ was emotionally charged and mechanically competent, but a few narrative missteps and shoddy character exposition–alongside the usual Telltale engine screwiness– left it feeling a bit underwhelming compared to Season 1’s best. Playing ‘A House Divided’ reminded me of The Walking Dead: Season 1’s best moments. The trilogy takes place four years after StarCraft: Brood War. Blizzard is not currently working on any new campaigns (as of BlizzCon 2017).
